COVID-19: 2,381 infected, 22 dead, and 816 recovered on 01 June 2020 in Bangladesh

22 people have died with coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said today (01 June 2020).

The death toll now stands at 672, Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, additional director general (administration) of DGHS, said during a briefing.

2,381 have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of infected has reached 49,532.

 

A total of 11,439 samples were tested in 52 labs across the country in the last 24 hours, Dr Nasima said.

Meanwhile, 816 COVID-19 patients have recovered since yesterday, taking the total number of recovered patients to 10,597, the DGHS official added.

This is the highest number of recoveries reported in 24 hours in the country.
