Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina mourns death of Dr. Moyeen Uddin from COVID-19

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today, on 15 April 2020 expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Dr. Moyeen Uddin, an Assistant Professor of Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital.

Dr Moyeen died of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) as he contracted the lethal virus while treating COVID-19 patients, Director General of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Professor Dr. Abul Kalam Azad told a virtual media briefing here today.

In a condolence message, the prime minister said noble physician Dr. Moyeen had provided healthcare services to the people by risking his life.

“The country and nation will remember his sacrifice forever,” she said.

Sheikh Hasina prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
