COVID-19: Bangladesh records highest 45 deaths and 3171 new cases on 09 June 2020

Bangladesh today (09 June 2020) reported 45 more fatalities from the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the highest in a daily count, raising the death toll from the pandemic to 975.-

“The tally of infections has also surged to 71,675 after 3,171 new COVID-19 cases, a single-day record, were detected in the last 24 hours,” DGHS Additional Director General Prof Nasima Sultana told a virtual media briefing at the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in the city.

 

She said the recovery count rose to 15,336 after another 777 patients were released from hospitals in the same period.

The health official also informed that a total of 14,664 samples were tested at 55 authorized labs across the country during that time.
