COVID-19: Bangladesh absorbs 7 more deaths, 497 fresh positive cases on 27 April 2020

Bangladesh on Monday, 27 April 2020 reported 7 more deaths from the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and 497 fresh positive cases overnight.

 

“7 more COVID-19 patients died in the last 24 hours, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 152,” DGHS Additional Director General (administration) Prof Nasima Sultana told a virtual media briefing at the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in the city.

She said the total number of the COVID-19 cases in the country has spiked to 5,913 as 497 more people tested positive for the lethal virus during the period.

Nasima said 9 patients were cured from the disease over the past 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries to 131.
