7 more COVID-19 patients die, 209 test positive in 24 hours: Directorate General of Health Services

Bangladesh today on 14 April 2020 in the time of Pahela Boishakh, first day of the Bangla New Year 1427, reported 7 more deaths from the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and 209 fresh positive cases overnight, the highest in terms of both deaths and infection in a single day since its first detection on 08 March 202.

“Seven more COVID-19 patients died in the last 24 hours, raising the death toll to 46, while the number of coronavirus cases has stood at 1012 as 209 more people have been infected by the lethal virus during the time,” Additional Director General (administration) of DGHS Professor Nasima Sultana told a virtual media briefing at the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in the city.
