2,962 Bangladeshis infected in Singapore from COVID-19

As many as 8,014 people have been infected with coronavirus in Singapore as of Sunday, according to worldometers.info. It also said 11 people have died of COVID-19 in the country.

Singapore’s Health Ministry said some 2,962 Bangladeshis have been infected with the highly contagious disease till Sunday, 19 April 2020.

The Health Ministry said that some 1,426 people tested coronavirus positive in a single day, Sunday, 19 April 2020. Of them, Singaporeans are 16 while the rest are from different countries.

 

Meanwhile, 174 Bangladeshis have died in USA while 79 in United Kingdom, diplomatic sources in USA and UK said.

Speaking to Prothom Alo, Bangladesh high commissioner in London, Saida Muna Tasneem said the number of deaths has been increasing for a few days.

She said so far 79 Bangladeshis have died of coronavirus.

 

Bangladesh Ambassador in Rome of Italy, Abdus Sobhan Sikder said eight Bangladeshis have died of the virus in Italy.

Expatriates Bangladeshis in Italy said several hundred Bangladeshis have been infected with coronavirus.

As many as 297 Bangladeshis died of coronavirus as of Sunday in 13 countries including US, UK, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Italy, Sweden and UAE.
